Touchless
In 2020, the way we use technology and conduct marketing changed instantly. From classrooms to retail stores, the frequent request was how to reduce minimal surface contact when using technology. Hubnest prior to Covid has built technology for school boards and retail environments to create a memorable immersive ‘experience’ to help brands and organizations stand out. In 2020, we received a rush of requests from clients on how to change existing experience to being as ‘touchless’ as possible. We realized quickly that this wasn’t going to be a temporary request and we began building long term functionality.
The benefit behind introducing touchless technology is primarily health safety. Hubnest has built the following types of that you may consider for your business needs:
New York City Gallery – Waterfall Projection with motion after-effect
Touchless Sensing
This is the most common type of touchless technology as seen with automatic opening doors or ‘tap’ payment. Hubnest has built near-field communication (NFC) and motion detection to trigger functions for school faculty login or measuring retail location activity.
Gesture Recognition
Similar to touchless sensing, gesture control is more sophisticated where users can perform simple gestures to control or interact with devices without contact. Hubnest can program specific body movements, limb (hand) gestures to be recognized and execute different functions.
Facial Recognition
This is the most advanced form of touchless technology. Requiring no conscious effort by the user, retailers will often use this technology to identify their demographic of retail store visitors. This aggregated data allows retailers to accurately create targeted marketing initiatives.
